9.3 "Was with outsurance and santam managed to save me money and i have been 100% satisfied"

  • +Friendly and hassle free
  • -Take longer with payout, but still acceptable. Only problem i had that they still charged monthly premium for a car that was stolen. They did reimburse me.

  • +My bakkie was stolen on the 4th of August the claim was finalized but it's a month i'm still waiting for payout

2.0 "Worst insurance company in South Africa in my opinion"

  • -One of Santam's clients drove into my car, a claim was submitted and I got 3 quotes as they told me to do. An Assessor was appointed who did not even come out to see my car, he just phoned and said that Santam should pay me almost R5000 less than the lowest quote. I also sit without a car during this time etc etc. Santam are bullies and I suggest no one uses them. My family just cancelled their policy after they had a claim being Santam members. The assessor came out said that he is on his way to dinner and said Santam can't help & drove off. Santam think as they are the so called biggest in SA they can do what they want. I suggest South African's open their eyes and use an insurance company that at least pretends to care for them. Santam is not that at all. I would give Santam a minus star if I could. Pathetic company I must say.

  • -I joined Santum in January and ive never receive a welcome pack,i phoned four times requesting Do Not tow stickers ,even today i haven't received anything
    the last person i spoke to was Sanele and he promised he will escalate the matter to his manager.
    I'm so disappointed.
