  • -Tried to claim for aircon. First claim was denied. After several emails an assessor was going to be sent. Waited 3 weeks. Nothing. Another email and was tild they dobt have an assessor in the area but we could get out own. Got a professional to write report saying the aircon can not be fixed due to the fact that they were not manufactured anymore. Cause of breakage was the main board but reason for failure could not be determined. Absa still denied claim saying they believe it was caused by a powersurge eventhough there were no powercuts in our area during the time. Sent through insurance contract that was not signed by us stating they basically pay out for nothing except lighting. Moving our insurance to Santam who is also cheaper by the way.

  • -Extremely bad experience. Rejected a large vehicle claim and caused much stress which they were later ordered to reverse the original decision and pay out the claim.
